How You Can Help Fire Victims

Angels in our midst

We've all watched in horror as the devastating fires in northern and southern California have destroyed whole communities. If you are moved to help the victims in Butte County, and the Thousand Oaks and Malibu areas of Los Angeles County, we recommend the following fire relief funds of the local community foundations.

Camp Fire in Butte County:
North Valley Community Foundation Camp Fire Evacuation Relief Fund

The Hill Fire and Woolsey Fires are mostly in Ventura County (which includes Thousand Oaks) and have spread into LA County:
Ventura County Community Foundation Community Disaster Relief Fund

LA County:
California Community Foundation Wildfire Relief Fund

WCF has also started a fund for natural disasters (wildfire, earthquake, etc.) which may occur close to home. We want to be ready to help our own community in a time of crisis. LEARN MORE

The smoke surrounding us from the fires burning to the north and south is a reminder that we're all connected.

As this time of giving thanks approaches, our hearts go out to the victims, their families, and the communities affected by these fires.
