Together we will rise above

WCF joins a coalition of foundations responding to COVID

The Woodside Community Foundation is working hard to respond to the needs of our community during this coronavirus crisis. Here in our Town we are seeing fine examples of generosity and caring and are so very grateful for the philanthropic spirit of Woodside.

The needs in our communities are significant

We know now that the needs of our region will be more widespread than we could have ever imagined. The federal government’s stimulus plan is bringing some help to local families, but for many the one-time check will not be enough. We must continue to dig deep locally to support the men and women who provide vital services in our Town and beyond.

  • About 3.9 million Californians have filed for unemployment benefits since early March.
  • In San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, Second Harvest Food Bank reports that it distributed twice as much food in the first two weeks of April than during the same period in 2019. It is serving 38,000 households weekly with boxed groceries.

Consider giving regionally

Our heartfelt thanks to those who have already given to our Robert’s of Woodside Employees Fund and our Woodside Together Fund.  Your contributions are helping key front-line and low-income employees who are a vital part of our Woodside work force.
